Burkina Faso Workshop 2022

Burkina Faso Workshop 2022

I always make plans to go to Burkina Faso every year. To Bobo Dioulasso, to Youssouf and Moumouni, to Hotel ZION. In 2021, the world was closed and we had to stay at home. It was uncertain for a long time whether we would be able to go to Burkina Faso in 2022. The last time,(in 2020) , we had just returned home from our trip just before the major outbreak. Nevertheless, five people had applied to go along. Fearless balafolese, who wanted to go and had confidence in the information we gathered beforehand about the safety of the trip. Anja, Yvonne, Ellen, Walter and Emilio joined me on the trip when it was possible to go ahead with our Burkina Faso Workshop 2022. It turned out to be a beautiful and exciting journey. With familiar things and surprising and exciting things.

Shortly beforehand, a brother-in-law drew my attention to ‘Polarsteps’. This is a travel app that gives you up-to-date information about the course of your journey. He was going on a journey to the North Pole and at the same time I was heading for the tropics. I started using it too, at least to keep me up to date. But I quickly became more fanatical in keeping track of it all and in posting messages and photos on Polarsteps. Our mutual family and friends thus received alternating images from a cold and very warm world.
