with performances on 22 and 23 April in Cartagena at Coper-accion’s Festival de Percussion
– 1 May 16.00 – 18.00 hours: performance in Brussels, Brasserie Atlas (not sure yet)
– 3 May: 7 to 10 pm Workshop and Jam-session in ‘Mundana Antwerpen’
– 5 May: 20.15 hours performance in Batavierhuis in Rotterdam
– 6 to 13 May: Balafon week on Schiermonnikoog (fully booked)
– 26 – 29 May: Camping Balafon meeting in Leeuwarden

20.00 – Half-hour concert
8.30pm – Workshop
The Workshop consists of learning a few patterns and starting points for a balafon rhythm.
Then the rest of the evening will be filled in with a jam session in which those patterns will be leading/part.
10pm End
Some percussionists are invited to join in. Most of them have good experience in West African percussion. Some others may bring a guitar, drums, etc.
Students with a C# tuned balafon (bring your own), are welcome to join in.

At De Kleine Wielen campsite in Leeuwarden, we have a separate corner on the ‘Sloten’ field where we can pitch our tents for the Whitsun weekend.
Friday evening arrival and joint dinner. Jam session at / after the meal (Pot-luck).
Saturday morning and afternoon workshop in / at Dorpshuis Y ‘n Mande in Tytjerk
Sunday morning and afternoon workshop in / at Dorpshuis Y ‘n Mande in Tytjerk
Monday morning (possibly also the afternoon) workshop in / at Dorpshuis Y ‘n Mande in Tytjerk
Arranging meals on Saturday and Sunday in consultation (self-cooking / BBQ / eating out)
Camping, Dorpshuis rent and meals at shared costs, Workshop itself € 30,= per half day.
