Bada

Dutch

Bada (Badan, Badagbe) is a Dunumba-rhythm from the Malinke, that is played as a transition between two other dununba’s. It has a complete other rhythm compared to other dunumba’s. During the dance it offers the people that – in their enthusiasm – have closed to much on the drummers and each other , the opportunity to enlarge the circle around the players.
