A African music also strikes a chord with residents and visitors of care centres and day-care projects. The sounds of the balafon and the story around it cause magical wonder and active participation of visitors or clients. The audience is ‘taken’ to Africa! During the story, daily life in West Africa comes to the fore, and explained with music. Visitors sing along and can play along with small instruments to their own ability. A joyful affair in which connection to Africa plays an important role.
