Dutch

The rhythm Sogolon comes from the Bozo people from the Mopti region in Mali. Traditionally played with three Bongolo and a Bara to create an abundant party to conclude the fishing season. In Bamako the rhythm is also known as ‘Somono-fòli‘, the rhythm of the Somono. Both peoples are fishermen who fish in the Niger.
